As part of our commitment to workforce development, the Worthington Workforce Experience Program partners with local school districts to provide high school seniors with the opportunity to explore a career in manufacturing.
Throughout the 18-week program, students work alongside Worthington employees on the production floor to gain hands-on training and develop crucial career readiness skills in areas including safety, communications, finance and problem solving. Since the program's inception in 2019, nearly 80 students have participated in the program and 47 job offers have been extended upon completion.
The Worthington Workforce Experience gave me an option as a high school student, about to graduate but unsure what I wanted to do, to pursue something new. I was able to work and make money while I learned.
